B1 - ABAP Programming Essentials

Target audience: 

Anyone with knowledge in programming and SAP software who has already mastered the content in A2 - Basics of ABAP Programming and A3 - Data Modeling and Access with ABAP Open SQL. 

Goals & Expectations: 

The goal of this course is to get you into procedural programming with ABAP along with the organization and transportation of your repository objects.

You will acquire the knowledge to:

• structure your ABAP code into different types of procedures; 
• expose APIs for remote (and local) calls and consume SAP standard business APIs; 
• write changes to the application log during execution; 
• perform procedural exception handling; 
• restrict execution to authorized users only; 
• organize your repository objects into packages; 
• prepare the transportation of repository objects to other environments.

This course is focused on procedural ABAP development. After completing it, you will be able to structure, organize, implement and debug functionalities written in a procedural manner.
