SAP Plant Maintenance (PM)

SAP PM (Plant Maintenance) is an important functional component in the SAP System.

The PM Module manages all maintenance activities in an organization. Its key functionalities consist of inspection, notifications, corrective and preventive maintenance, repairs, and other measures to maintain the technical system. It also allows users to record problems in the SAP System.

All Plant Maintenance sub-modules are interconnected, and hence they closely integrate with other SAP modules as Production planning (PP), Material management (MM), and Sales and Distribution (SD).
